Books Worth Their Weight in Gold

My reading memories are filled with "good books." Titles which have shaped my life. The reading of a "good book" is a life altering experience. My life experience and my reactions to people, places, events, and things are a direct result of my reading life. The essence of who I am has been shaped as much by my family, nature, nurture, friends, etc... as is has been shaped by my reading habit.

Library Moments

As I think back over my memories of being in libraries there are some special moments to treasure. My first clear memory comes from being in line for Story Time at the Maze Branch of the Oak Park Public Library. I can still feel the excitement of standing there with my name tag around my neck, Miss Peaslee in the lead, and the anticipation of the adventure around the corner and down the stairs in the room for Story Time.
